PLANNING TO USE IT YOURSELF? – Alice Lane’s article has been published in the Estates Gazette

Alice Lane of our Dispute Resolution & Employment team has co-authored an article with David Sawtell of Lamb Chambers, which was published in the Estates Gazette on 21st January 2017.

The article addresses the issues that landlords may face if they wish to seek possession of their commercial property under section 30(1)(g) of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. In particular, Alice Lane and David Sawtell discuss a case that they were instructed on which involved them successfully obtaining a judgment for their clients. The case involved a church wishing to seek possession of a garage, which was adjoined to the Church, to use the space as storage for the church’s property.
