Private Client (STEP)

We are looking for a STEP Practitioner with at least 5 years experience who can work under minimal supervision. Ideally fully STEP qualified but candidates working towards STEP will also be considered. The role will be handling a range of matters to include complex estates, trusts, court of protection work along with inheritance tax planning and various related matters. A particular interest in estate and trust accounts would be advantageous.

 

Charities Department Paralegal

You will be qualified to LPC, or equivalent academic qualifications with previous experience in a paralegal role.

The department offers specialist advice on a range of legal issues which are unique to the charity and not for profit sectors. You will ideally have some previous legal experience as part of a charity law practice but we will consider candidates who have worked in other disciplines. The successful applicant will also be required to assist in other departments when necessary and there will be a degree of firm’s administration/data entry work to be completed.

This role is for a 12 month fixed term contract. Salary commensurate with experience.

 

Private Client NQ

We are currently looking for a Private Client Solicitor (NQ - 1 PQE). The successful applicant will handle a wide variety of work including drafting wills, LPAs, court of protection, dealing with the administration of estates, basic tax estate planning and trust administration. You will be working in a small team with responsibility for your own caseload under supervision and own fee targets.

Applications are sought from NQ private client solicitors who are seeking to develop their specialism in private client work. Ideally candidates will have pre or post qualification experience in private client work, a good academic record and a desire to build on their knowledge in this technical, challenging area of law. Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence and the ability to develop relationships with clients are all must have skills.

 

Residential Property Paralegal

You will be qualified to LPC, or equivalent academic qualifications with experience in Residential Property Law/Conveyancing.

The role will require you to handle your own conveyancing caseload from inception to closure with minimal supervision from your supervisor. Throughout your role, you will ensure that your files are kept in order and issue regular reports to clients. The successful individual will know the clear distinctions between freehold, leasehold, registered and unregistered transactions and will be technically competent in handling such matters.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 12/18 months Residential Conveyancing experience and be confident with all aspects of residential property transactions with the ability to demonstrate initiative and excellent client care skills.

This role is for a 12 month fixed term contract. Salary commensurate with experience.
